Funding

The International Network of Arab and African Journalists (INAJ) is financed by the membership fees and those of the Friends of INAJ. The volume of the Network’s activity depends on its budget which varies from year to year.
To finance certain operations (such as travels and trainings), the Network calls upon sponsorships.
The INAJ is independent, and has for its functioning the contributions of 200 journalists, researchers, historians, specialists in communication and members of the Club of Friends composed of research centers, private companies, public institutions, specialized associations and NGOs… The subsidies of the Friends of the IANAAl, and in particular of private companies, are limited according to their turnover. For the sake of independence from the various governments, the IANAA office does not seek subsidies from the States. NGOs such as CIPINA (Centre d’Information et de Promotion de l’Image d’une Nouvelle Afrique) with ECOSOC status are members of the AJE Friends Club. Several steps are underway to obtain the membership of international organizations in the Club of Friends of IYAB. It is also the case of several African and Arab media, whose membership helps to finance the travels of our journalist members for the coverage of international events.
All the members of the INAJ office are elected journalists and volunteers. However, we hope to employ our secretary general on a part-time basis in the near future.
